October 30, 2026, 73, – Mollie Ann Johnson, age 73, passed away at Wayne UNC Healthcare on Friday, October 30, 2026 with her loving family by her side. Born in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Franklin Coker and Vernetta Draughon Coker and sister of the late Willie Franklin Coker, Jr. Mollie was formerly a supervisor with the Wayne County Child Support Services. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
At Mollie’s request, no formal services will be held.
Mollie is survived by her husband, Lee Johnson; her son, Michael Wayne Howell; her sisters, Teresa Rose and Donna Richards; her grandchildren, Taylor Ware, Kaylee Howell and Finlee Howell; and great grandchildren, Graham Ware and Dayton Ware.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Mollie’s memory can be directed to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
