GOLDSBORO, N.C. — With Veterans Day approaching, the Wayne County Veterans & Patriots Coalition is encouraging community members, organizations, and businesses to get involved in this year’s Veterans Day Parade in downtown Goldsboro.
The annual parade is scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, and organizers are seeking additional parade entries and community support to help make the event a memorable tribute to the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Andrew Nedimyer, president of the Wayne County Veterans & Patriots Coalition, says interest in this year’s parade has been strong, with numerous individuals and organizations already submitting entries or expressing interest in participating.
However, there is still time for additional groups to join the celebration.
The deadline to submit parade applications is Friday, November 6, at 3 p.m. There is no fee to participate.
Organizers welcome patriotic entries from community organizations, veterans groups, businesses, schools, churches, and other groups interested in honoring America’s military veterans.
All parade entries must carry, display, or exhibit a patriotic theme.
Community Volunteers Encouraged to Help
In addition to parade participants, community members interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact the Wayne County Veterans & Patriots Coalition to inquire about opportunities to assist with the event.
The annual celebration brings the community together to recognize the sacrifices of veterans, honor those currently serving, and demonstrate Wayne County’s appreciation for the military.
