October 23, 2026, 31, – Jordan Bryant Smith, 31, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 23, 2026, from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident. Though his life ended far too soon, Jordan leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and a family who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Born in Kershaw County, South Carolina, on May 8, 1995, Jordan was the son of Tod Allen Smith and the late Lisa Marie Hough. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Mason Tod Smith.
Jordan was a man of many interests and talents, with a personality that reflected both his adventurous spirit and his creative imagination. He was employed with Southern Ready Mix in Goldsboro and took pride in his work. A proud veteran, Jordan honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps, carrying with him the pride and commitment that came with being a United States Marine.
Throughout his life, Jordan enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies and interests. He was an avid sports enthusiast who participated in numerous sports during his high school years. He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, where he could enjoy the beauty of nature and the simple pleasures of life. Jordan also had a creative side that allowed him to express himself through art. A published artist, he found joy in drawing and bringing his imagination to life on paper.
Jordan’s interests were as unique as he was. He enjoyed the worlds of Star Wars and Marvel, building with Legos, and spending time playing video games. These were more than hobbies; they were things that brought him happiness and gave him opportunities to share his interests with others.
Yet, above all else, Jordan’s greatest joy was his family. His beloved wife and three precious children were the center of his world. The time he spent with them was what mattered most, and the love he had for them was immeasurable. As a husband and father, Jordan was building a life filled with hopes, dreams, and plans for the future. Although his time with them was tragically cut short, the love he gave them and the memories they created together will remain a lasting part of their lives. His children will forever be a beautiful reflection of the life he lived and the love he leaves behind.
Jordan is survived by his devoted wife of seven years, Zaria Smith, and their three beautiful children, Addalyn Adair Smith, Ryker Mason Smith, and Violet Marie Smith, who were the greatest treasures of his life. He is also survived by his father, Tod Smith, and his wife, Stacy; his siblings, Kameran Smith and Macie Danielle Smith; and his Papa, Tim. Additionally, he leaves behind his mother-in-law, Ashlyn Miller; father-in-law, John Miller; brother-in-law, Blaize Ward, and sister-in-law, Jerzie Miller, along with many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Though Jordan’s passing leaves an unimaginable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, his life will be remembered for the many things that made him who he was: his service to his country, his creativity, his love of adventure, and, most importantly, his devotion to his family. His earthly journey was far too brief, but the love he shared will continue through the lives of those he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
The family will receive friends at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Goldsboro on Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Jordan’s life will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel, with Bishop David Remington presiding.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the family to help provide for the future educational needs of his beloved children.
