October 20, 2026, 41, Mount Olive – David Earl Langston, 41, of Mount Olive, passed away on Tuesday, October 20. He is survived by his wife of the home; Rhonda Gail Langston; his children, Stephanie McAllister of Dudley, Heather McAllister of Dudley, Dylan Langston of Pikeville, Andrew McAllister, and Conner McAllister both of Mount Olive. David is also survived by his father and step-mother; Charles William “Chico” Baird and Ellen of Dudley; and his mother and step father, Peggy Craft and Tommy of Pikeville; and his sister, April Reiber of Dudley.
David is also survived by a niece and nephew, Landon and Emily Reiber, along with several other family members that were very special to him.
David was currently employed at Sport Durst of Goldsboro where he was an automotive service technician. He enjoyed his job, and was very talented in most anything he set out to accomplish. He took great pride in his yard and keeping the grass mowed in just the right direction. He loved his family very dearly; spending time with them around a bonfire and grilling up those special meats was his favorite thing to do. He loved keeping his vehicles spotless, and often would say, “a clean car is a happy car.” David will be fondly remembered as a jokester, but a loving and devoted family man who loved country music.
The family will remember David in a memorial service this Friday evening at 6pm at Tyndall Funeral Home. Daryl Anderson will lead the service followed by a time of visitation with family and friends. The family will also receive visitors at his home, on Indian Springs Road, Mount Olive.
