October 1, 2026, 36, – Kevin Lee Gendreau-Fowlkes, affectionately known as “Big Kev,” was born July 17, 1990, at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland to Gregory Eugene Fowlkes Sr. and Nancy Sue Gendreau. He transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Kevin was a fun, energetic, and playful child who loved football, basketball, music, and dancing. His childhood stretched from Massachusetts to North Carolina, with treasured memories of extended family. He played high school football and graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 2009. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and passed his love of the outdoors on to his family.
In 2011, Kevin met the love of his life, Mona. Their bond grew stronger during a hurricane, when their concern for one another’s safety revealed how deeply they cared for each other. That shared experience helped solidify a love rooted in closeness, care, and a desire to face life together. They married in 2017, then welcomed their children, Kevin Lee Gendreau-Fowlkes Jr. and Lena Sariah Gendreau-Fowlkes. Throughout nine years of marriage, Kevin and Mona continued to weather life’s storms side by side, finding joy in their children and strength in the love they shared.
Kevin worked as a Safety Manager with Blair Logistics Trucking Company. He was the co-owner of Joco Elite Training, and a youth football coach and mentor. He helped so many discover a love for sports and share the passion that shaped his life. As a devoted Patriots fan, he brought everything he loved into the life he built.
