October 2, 2026, 89, – Alice Blanchard Jackson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. She was 89 years old.
A graveside service where she will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Charles Rogue Jackson, will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson was born on October 11, 1936, in Cumberland County to the late Harvey and Ida Townsend Blanchard. She was a faithful member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro, attending services as long as her health allowed. Mrs. Jackson retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital following twenty years of dedicated service.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Gary Jackson and wife, Crystal, Deborah Jackson and husband, Dr. Henry Newton, and Reverend Kenneth Jackson and wife, Terrie; her daughter-in-law, Gail Jackson; her brother, Harvey Blanchard; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Charles R. Jackson Jr. and Dennis Jackson.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
