GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the August shooting deaths of two 20-year-old men on West Oak Street in Goldsboro, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.
Investigators identified Jayvion Berry, 19, of Norfolk, Virginia, as the third suspect in the case. Arrest warrants were obtained, and Berry was located and arrested without incident on Tuesday, Oct. 6, with assistance from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service in Norfolk.
Berry is charged with two counts of murder and two counts of felony conspiracy.
Goldsboro Police said the department worked closely with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service throughout the investigation, using shared intelligence, specialized technical resources and interagency coordination.

The case dates back to Aug. 15, when Goldsboro Police responded around 5:15 p.m. to 607 W. Oak St. following a report that two people had been shot.
Officers found Nasire Green, 20, of Goldsboro, and Tristen Mason, 20, of Dudley, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
A 17-year-old Goldsboro male was initially identified as a suspect and taken into custody without incident. He was charged with two counts of murder and two counts of felony conspiracy and was placed in the custody of the Pitt Juvenile Detention Center without bond.
Three days after the shootings, detectives identified Jamere Sessions, 20, of Goldsboro, as an additional suspect. With assistance from the State Bureau of Investigation and Greenville Police Department, Sessions was located and arrested without incident. He was also charged with two counts of murder and two counts of felony conspiracy and was denied bond.
Berry’s Oct. 6 arrest brings the number of suspects identified in connection with the double homicide to three.
