September 24, 2026, 73, – Glenn Kurt Seeley, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, at the age of 73.
Glenn was born on February 9, 1953, in Stuttgart, Germany, to the late Virgil Allen Seeley and Ruth Elsie Seeley. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force before retiring from military service.
Those who knew Glenn will remember him for his wonderful sense of humor, his generous heart, and his ability to find joy in the simple things. He was, in every sense, a giant kid at heart. Glenn loved to laugh, have fun, and spend time with the people who meant the most to him. He never seemed to outgrow his curiosity or his willingness to take on the next project.
A true hands-on man, Glenn could fix just about anything. Whether it was a car, boat, or lawn mower, he enjoyed figuring out how things worked and bringing them back to life. He loved riding motorcycles, camping, and spending time outdoors. He was also happiest when he was doing something for his family.
Above all else, Glenn cherished his family. His grandchildren held a particularly special place in his heart, and he treasured every moment spent watching them grow, making memories with them, and simply being their grandfather. His love, humor, and playful spirit will remain a lasting part of the memories they carry with them.
Glenn leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 39 years, Yong Ye Seeley; his children, Michael Kwon (Myoungsun), Son Cruz, Kimberly Arbeau (Shawn), Suk Scarbrough (Tristian), Jason Seeley (Marielle), and Joseph Seeley; his grandchildren, Olivia, Matthew, Michael, Adalyn, Jayden, Micah, and Ava; and his sister, Carmen. He will be deeply missed by his family whose lives were touched by his kindness and humor.
Glenn’s legacy will live on in the laughter he shared, the things he taught others, the memories made around the campfire and dinner table, and most importantly, in the family he loved so deeply. Though he is no longer here to fix what is broken, share a good laugh, prepare a meal, or take one more ride, the mark he left on those who loved him will never fade.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Seymour Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, located at 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Glenn lived a life filled with service, laughter, adventure, and love. He will be remembered not only for all the things he could fix with his hands, but for the countless hearts he touched simply by being Glenn.
