GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Job seekers, prospective volunteers and residents interested in learning more about local organizations will have an opportunity to make connections during the upcoming Career & Community Engagement Fair in Goldsboro.
The United Way of Wayne County and Wayne County Government are partnering to host the event on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Goldsboro Event Center.
The fair will bring together Wayne County Government departments and local nonprofit organizations, giving attendees an opportunity to explore both career and community service opportunities.
Those interested in employment will be able to speak directly with county departments about current job openings and learn more about careers in local government. Wayne County is highlighting its employee benefits, including health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off and holidays, along with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Local nonprofit organizations will also be on hand to share information about their programs and services and discuss ways residents can volunteer and become more involved in the community.
Organizers say the event is designed for a wide range of attendees, whether they are actively searching for a new job, looking for a way to give back or simply interested in learning more about the organizations serving Wayne County.
No registration is required, and the event is open to those who want to stop by, make connections and explore new opportunities.
