MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — The Town of Mount Olive announced Thursday that a temporary road closure on South Center Street has been extended as contractors continue utility work in the area.
South Center Street is closed from Jurney Street to Tillman Street. The closure originally began Friday, Sept. 18, with the town issuing an updated notice on Thursday, Sept. 24.
According to the town, contractors have extended the anticipated reopening date to Wednesday, Sept. 30.
Motorists traveling through the area should plan for the continued closure and use alternate routes until the work is completed and the roadway reopens.
