WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — Two people were transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of Arrington Bridge Road and Bill Lane Boulevard.
Arrington firefighters and a Wayne County EMS unit were dispatched to the scene following reports of a possible person pinned inside a vehicle.
When firefighters arrived, they found one vehicle overturned in the roadway and a second vehicle also in the roadway. Both vehicles completely blocked the intersection.
Two people were transported to the hospital to be evaluated. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
