GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro and Wayne County residents will have an opportunity to hear directly from candidates ahead of the upcoming election during a Candidates Forum scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 24.
The Goldsboro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with the NAACP and the League of Women Voters, will host the forum beginning at 6 p.m. at The Maxwell Center in Goldsboro.
The event is free and open to the public.
Candidates participating in the forum will have an opportunity to discuss their positions on issues and policies affecting the community while sharing their priorities and perspectives with voters.
Members of the public will also be able to submit questions for candidates, giving residents an opportunity to have community concerns incorporated into the discussion.
Organizers say the forum is designed to encourage civic engagement and provide voters with information about the candidates and issues ahead of Election Day.
