GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Downtown Goldsboro came alive as the 2026 NC Freedom Fest brought the community together for a day of celebration, entertainment and appreciation for those who serve.
The free, family-friendly festival welcomed visitors to downtown Goldsboro for activities, live entertainment and opportunities to recognize the military, veterans and first responders who have dedicated themselves to protecting and serving their communities and country.
Throughout the day, festivalgoers filled downtown streets as NC Freedom Fest offered an atmosphere centered around community, patriotism and gratitude.
The celebration also provided an opportunity for families, friends and visitors from across the area to gather while supporting downtown Goldsboro and remembering the men and women whose service and sacrifice are at the heart of the annual event.
Country music star Ashley McBryde highlighted the entertainment lineup, bringing the celebration to a memorable conclusion with a performance in downtown Goldsboro.
The 2026 event continued NC Freedom Fest’s mission of bringing the community together while honoring active-duty military members, veterans, first responders and their families.
