September 3,2026, 84, Goldsboro – Mark Allen Ingerman, 84, of Goldsboro, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. While his family grieves the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, they find comfort in knowing that Mark’s life was filled with love, faith, family and countless memories that will be treasured forever.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
Mark was a man who loved deeply and lived with a strong sense of faith, loyalty and devotion to those around him. His family was the center of his world, and he found his greatest joy in the people he loved. He was a faithful member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army.
Mark’s life was also enriched by his many years as a proud member of Masonic Lodge #108 in Milton, Indiana. To Mark, being a Mason was more than membership—it was a lifelong commitment to brotherhood, friendship, integrity and service. The relationships he formed through the Masonic brotherhood remained special to him throughout his life, and the bonds he shared with his fellow Masons were among the many friendships he held dear.
Above all, Mark was devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Daily Ingerman; two sons, Matthew Allen Ingerman and wife, Erin, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Luke Mason Ingerman and wife, Jennifer, of Sanford; three sisters, Judy Ingerman of Indiana, Barbara Busby of Indiana and Marcia Orlando of New Jersey; five grandchildren, David Ingerman (Justin), Darren Ingerman, Kedrie Ingerman, Kayla Ingerman and Samantha Ingerman; and one great-grandchild, Alaina Mills.
Mark also shared a special bond with his two beloved dogs, “Dixie” and “Rabbit.” They were more than pets—they were cherished companions who brought him comfort, happiness and unconditional love. Their presence brought countless moments of joy to his days, and they held a very special place in his heart.
Mark will be remembered not simply for the years he lived, but for the love he gave during those years. He leaves behind a family who will miss his presence, his friendship and the moments—both great and small—that they shared with him.
His life was a testament to the things that matter most: loving your family, remaining faithful, serving others, honoring your commitments and cherishing the people and companions who walk beside you through life.
Though his family’s hearts are heavy with his passing, they are also grateful for the 84 years they were blessed to share with him. The memories Mark created will continue to live on—in stories told around the table, in family traditions, in the lessons he taught by example and in the hearts of those who loved him.
Mark’s journey on earth has come to an end, but the love he gave and the memories he created will never fade. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever cherished.
