August 30, 2026, 80, Goldsboro – David William Cardin Sr., 80, of Goldsboro passed away Sunday evening, August 30, 2026 at his home.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Mr. Cardin was born in New York on July 7, 1946 to the late Frank Joseph and Eunice Cardin. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his two daughters, Darlene Holmes and husband, Archie of Goldsboro and Vanessa Cardin of Edenton; four sons, Joseph Cardin of St. Louis, Earl Cardin of New York, Anthony Cardin of New York and David Cardin, Jr. of Goldsboro; two sisters, Lynn Cardin and Dale Chartrand; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and his former daughter-in-law, Karen Cardin of New York.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorine Margaret Cardin and his daughter-in-law, Karen Cardin.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
