GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Goldsboro Police Department is inviting the community to come together for its annual National Night Out celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Herman Park.
National Night Out is designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve while promoting crime prevention awareness, drug and violence prevention, and neighborhood unity.
The nationwide initiative has been held annually since 1984, bringing police departments, community organizations and residents together in an effort to build safer and stronger neighborhoods.
While National Night Out is traditionally observed on the first Tuesday in August, some communities, particularly those in warmer climates, hold their events on the first Tuesday in October.
Goldsboro’s event will feature vendors, family-friendly activities, safety demonstrations and opportunities for residents to meet and connect with police officers, volunteers and local community organizations.
Vendors Invited to Participate
Organizations interested in participating as informational vendors are encouraged to register in advance.
The deadline for vendor registration is Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026.
National Night Out will be held Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Herman Park in Goldsboro.
