August 3, 2026, 67, Seven Springs- Master Sgt. (retired, US Air Force) Michael Alan Judy, 67, resident of the Seven Springs area, passed away just before midnight on Monday, August 3, 2026, while receiving love and care in the comfort of his home.
Mr. Judy was born and raised in Harrison County, Kentucky. His enlistment in the United States Air Force brought him to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, which led to his meeting the lady who would become his wife. Following his discharge from the service, he graduated from University of Mount Olive with a bachelor degree in business administration. He gained employment with Murphy-Brown as a laboratory technician. Later he would become a school teacher at Eastern Wayne Middle School where he taught social studies and English. His retirement from the school system came just after a few months on the faculty at E. B. Frink Middle School in La Grange.
Mr. Judy was a member of Zion Methodist Church in the Pricetown community where he was quite active in church and community events.
He leaves behind his wife, Joy Parks Judy; his children and their spouses, Jennifer Lynn Hester and Brian Lee Hester of Princeton, Christopher Michael Judy and Melinda Buckner Judy of Goldsboro, and Sarah Elizabeth Judy Trinidad and Eric Trinidad of Rosewood; a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah Jo Cole and Dana Cole of Cynthiana, Kentucky; beloved grandchildren, Adelaide Rose Trinidad, Keaton Cole Judy, Elodie Lynnette Trinidad, and Hudson Warren Judy; his best friend, “Sadie,” his “red-headed doggie girlfriend;” a granddog, “Beau;” nieces, Amber Jett and husband, David Jett, and Amy Craddock and husband, Wade; great-niece, Lynnzie Craddock Back and husband, Chris Back; great-nephew, Zach Craddock and wife, Nina; great-great-nephew, Owen Back; a special daughter who had been an exchange student from Germany, Carsta Schulze; and a good friend who became family, Judy Northcutt and family.. He is also survived by the William Parks family which welcomed him with love upon his meeting and marrying Joy.
In death he now rejoins his parents, Paul Elwood Judy and Phyllis Earlywine Judy; and a brother, Barry Lane Judy.
Mr. Mike Judy’s life will be remembered Monday, August 10, at 6 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Doug Johnson. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the funeral home, and at other times at the family’s residence. Committal rites with military honors will be Tuesday, August 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 168 Long’s Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
