August 5, 2026, 75, Dudley – Larry Stevenson Oliver, 75, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Rex UNC Health Hospital. Born on February 20, 1951, he was son to the late Donald Oliver and Betsy L. Tillman Oliver.
Larry was a man with an adventurous spirit who embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude. He found great joy in the outdoors, where he was happiest surrounded by God’s creation. A devoted animal lover, he treasured the companionship of his beloved dog and the countless memories they shared together.
Larry had a deep appreciation for automobiles and enjoyed spending time working on cars and admiring their craftsmanship. He also found great joy in riding his motorcycle, embracing the freedom and adventure of the open road.
Above all, Larry’s greatest love was for his Lord and Savior. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he was a man of prayer who trusted God through every season. He lived with kindness, courage, and a spirit of adventure that inspired those around him. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love of family and friends, his adventurous heart, and the joy he found in the simple blessings of life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Larry is survived by his nephew, Billy Rex Pipkin and wife, Wendy; his great niece, Linda Reid; his great nephews, Howard Reid, Jamie Reid, Shawn Fraim and Joshua Fraim; great-great nieces, Chloe and Reagan; and great-great nephew, Braelyn.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Pipkin.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro. A service to honor Larry’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Bill Rose officiating. Interment will conclude at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.
