July 14, 2026, 68, Goldsboro – Debra “Debbie” Sauls Weeks peacefully entered her eternal home on Tuesday evening, July 14, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by the love of those who meant the most to her.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. at United In Christ Church in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Snow Hill Cemetery in Snow Hill. The family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until 10: 45 a.m. at the church.
Born in Greene County on December 24, 1957, Debbie was the cherished daughter of the late Wayne and Hilda Williamson Sauls. A woman of steadfast faith, she was a devoted member of United In Christ Church, where she found strength, fellowship, and joy in serving the Lord.
Debbie will be remembered for her kind heart, fierce spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She found her greatest happiness in the simple blessings of life, time spent with those she loved, celebrating family milestones, and making treasured memories with her grandchildren. Her warmth, compassion, and quiet strength touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a lasting legacy, not just in the subjects taught, but in the confidence instilled and the lives forever changed while teaching at Eastern Wayne Elementary School.
Those left to cherish her precious memories include her beloved husband of 41 years, David Earl Weeks; her two daughters, Anna Soto and husband, Julio, and Tessa Meck and husband, Isaac; her brother, William “Bubba” Sauls and wife, Linda; her sister, Gloria Sauls; and her four adored grandchildren, Jackson, Sophia, Graham, and Dani. Each of them will forever carry her love in their hearts and honor the legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion she leaves behind.
The family rejoices in knowing that Debbie is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Her life was a beautiful reflection of love, grace, and faith, and her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
