July 8, 2026, 68, Goldsboro – Timothy Price Sr. “Tim” lived a life defined by compassion, laughter, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. He passed away on July 8th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love.
For more than 50 years, he faithfully served his community as a firefighter and EMT with Rosewood Volunteer Fire Department, dedicating his life to helping others with courage and unwavering commitment. His service was more than a profession; it was a calling, and he earned the respect and admiration of those who had the privilege of serving alongside him.
Tim was an accomplished mechanic, working for various industrial corporations. He retired from the state of North Carolina after serving more than 20 years at Cherry Hospital and O’Berry Center.
Tim also found immense joy in various outdoor activities. He loved golfing with friends, fishing, and spending time at Kerr Lake with his family. Some of his fondest memories included sharing his love of waterskiing with his children and grandchildren, coaching them to success from behind the wheel of his beloved boats.
Tim treasured quality moments with family and friends. He cherished softball, playing for many organizations and competitive leagues. He shared his love of the sport with his children and grandchildren, often coaching their teams. When he wasn’t coaching, you’d find him in the stands, cheering them on enthusiastically. Tim will be remembered for his selfless service, love of the outdoors, and the kindness he shared with everyone he met.
Tim is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pam; his children, Brandon Jones (spouse, Michelle), Timothy Price (spouse, Kyle Cook), Jessica Price (spouse, Sidney Brannan), Rebecca Walker (spouse, Matt), and his grandchildren, Mikayla, Tyler, Summer, Jack, Xara, and Luna; his brother Greg Price; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at The First Church in Goldsboro on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A memorial service to honor Tim’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the sactuary with Pastor Andy Stovall officiating. Interment will conclude at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
