July 7, 2026, 73, Princeton – Ella Frances Hatcher Strickland, 73, passed away at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. She was born on July 13, 1952 in Johnston County to the late Leon Benard Hatcher and Ella Mae Brady Hatcher.
Frances was a member of Pine Level PH Church. She loved to crochet and knit. She always enjoyed her time with her canine friend, Marley. Most of all, she loved her family.
Frances is survived by her husband, Jerry Strickland; sons, Matthew Lee Strickland (Fiancée Janet Higgins) of Smithfield and Jeremy Lance Strickland (Natalie Labate) of Johnstown, PA; brother, David Hatcher (Kay) of Micro.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm, Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations.The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home & Cremations at 6:00 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2026 with the Reverend Mack Perry and Reverend Eddie Hatcher officiating. The burial will take place in the Bizzell Grove Church Cemetery.
