July 7, 2026, 96, Goldsboro – Aaron Robert Williford, 96, passed away on July 7th at UNC Health in Goldsboro. Aaron was born in Johnston County to Leslie Parker Williford and Moxie Keen Williford. For many years, he worked in Brokerage of Investment Securities and Insurance services. He was the owner of Williford Insurance Marketing, Inc.
Aaron was a long-time member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, serving in many leadership capacities. He was an Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict in the Air Defense Command, Northeast Air Command and Headquarters, Ninth Air Force Operations.
He was a devoted member of the Goldsboro “Golden K” Kiwanis Club, holding many leadership positions over the years. Aaron also served The Salvation Army as a member of the Advisory Board for several years and was a former member of the Goldsboro Jaycees and Lion’s Club.
Surviving family members are two wonderful daughters, Rhonda Davis and husband, Cecil of Raleigh, and Terry Groseclose and husband, Raymond of Asheboro. Aaron is survived by four amazing grandsons and their families, Austin Davis and wife Lauren and their son, Blaine, Jordan Groseclose and wife Whitney and their son, Emerson and daughter, Iris, Graham Groseclose and wife, Brittany and their sons, Liam and Carter, and Brett Davis. He enjoyed their visits to see “Granddaddy”.
In addition to his parents, Aaron was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Gurley Williford, three brothers, and one sister, James, Ralph, Donald, and Ruth Williford. Aaron and his wife enjoyed traveling together in retirement and enjoyed spending time in Emerald Isle, NC.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Madison Avenue Baptist Church, 300 S. Madison Avenue, Goldsboro. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Brad Parker officiating. Burial will be at Hephzibah Baptist Church, 4633 US Hwy. 70 E, Princeton following the service with military honors by the United States Air Force.
