GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Students from Wayne Preparatory Academy’s FFA chapter returned from the North Carolina FFA State Convention with major honors, highlighting the school’s commitment to leadership, agricultural education, and student achievement.
The chapter spent the week competing in events, participating in leadership development activities, and representing Wayne Preparatory Academy alongside FFA members from across the state.
Among the chapter’s top accomplishments was Allison Best being named the recipient of the North Carolina FFA Foundational Star Award. Best earned the state’s highest honor in the category after successfully completing a competitive application and interview process.
Another significant achievement came from Andrew Kirby, who received the North Carolina FFA State Degree. The State Degree is the highest honor awarded to FFA members in North Carolina and recognizes outstanding accomplishments in leadership, agricultural education, and supervised agricultural experiences.
School officials praised the students for their hard work and dedication, noting that their success reflects the values of leadership, service, and excellence that are emphasized throughout the Wayne Preparatory Academy FFA program.
Wayne Preparatory Academy congratulated both scholars on their achievements, saying their accomplishments are a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and leadership they demonstrate both inside and outside the classroom.
