June 16, 2026, 77, Goldsboro – Alinda Fowler Easom, 77, entered her eternal home and the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Rock Hill, South Carolina on November 8, 1948, Alinda was the daughter of the late Gordon Fowler, Jr. and Naomi Pate Fowler. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Sammy Eugene Easom, and her son, Christopher Easom.
A woman of deep faith, Alinda attended Goldsboro Worship Center and was widely known throughout the Church of God denomination for her remarkable gift of music. For many years, her hands graced the piano keys as she faithfully used her talents to glorify God and lead others in worship. Her music was more than a ministry—it was an expression of her heart and her love for the Lord. Whether playing for a congregation or gathering with family, Alinda’s music brought comfort, joy, and inspiration to all who heard it.
Alinda was also known for her vibrant personality, her collection of beautiful hats, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. She found her greatest earthly joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating treasured memories that will live on for generations.
In addition to her ministry and family life, Alinda was a dedicated businesswoman and community servant. She was the co-owner of The Children’s Shoppe and faithfully served as secretary for the Eastern North Carolina Church of God office, where her organizational skills, servant’s heart, and commitment to the work of the church were greatly appreciated.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Kevin Easom and wife, Susan, of Goldsboro, Jonathan Easom and wife, Kristal, of Hampstead, and Marcus Easom and wife, Geri Lynn, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Christopher Easom and wife, Christy, Nicholas Easom and wife, Alli, Abigail Honeycutt and husband, Walker, Caleb Easom, Cody Easom and wife, Madison, Ian Easom, and Blake Easom; great-grandchildren, Cooper Easom, Caelan Easom, Brodie Easom, Charlotte Easom, Judah Honeycutt, Charlie Easom, Bennett Easom, and one precious great-grandchild on the way; sisters, Terri Watson and husband, Bob, and Patricia Verricchia; brother, Michael Fowler and wife, Sharon; along with many extended family members, church family, and dear friends who were blessed by her life.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service celebrating Alinda’s life and Christian testimony will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Danny Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Build Legacy Campaign at Goldsboro Worship Center, 900 W. New Hope Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
Though her earthly song has ended, the melody of Alinda’s faith, love, and devotion continues to echo in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she now rejoices in the presence of her Savior, reunited with loved ones gone before her and hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
