GOLDSBORO, NC — The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning in the 600 block of West Chestnut Street.
According to a news release, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area at approximately 3:39 a.m. on June 9. When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Wayne County EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
The victim has been identified as Terryon Latrell Davis, 21, of Goldsboro.
The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau and Crime Scene Unit were notified and responded to the scene to begin a criminal investigation.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and no suspect information has been announced at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing.
