May 29, 2026, 75, Goldsboro – Jeffrey Alan Williams, 75, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County on April 15, 1951, he was the son of the late Elton and Pauline Williams.
In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his niece, DeeDee Doutt.
Jeffrey is survived by his brother, Robert “Bob” Williams; sister, Barbara Gayle Licari (Larry); sister by choice, Linda Sullivan; nieces, Nancy Mulé, Laura Battaglia, Michelle Zak, Laura Licari, and Shawn Licari; and several beloved cousins whom he loved dearly.
Jeffrey departed this life leaving behind a legacy of kindness, friendship, and unwavering love for those fortunate enough to know him.
Jeffrey retired from D.S. Simmons, where he served as a Construction Foreman. Through years of hard work, dedication, and leadership, he earned the respect of his coworkers and built lasting friendships along the way. His strong work ethic and willingness to help others were qualities that defined both his professional and personal life.
Known affectionately to family and friends as “Jeffrey Earl,” he was truly one of a kind. Jeffrey never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. A genuine people person, he loved everyone and was loved in return. His warm smile, infectious personality, and caring spirit left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
Jeffrey found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time along the Carolina Coast, where the ocean breeze and peaceful scenery brought him happiness. He was also a devoted fan of Carolina Beach music and could often be found enjoying the sounds and memories that accompanied it. Whether at the beach, with friends, or surrounded by family, Jeffrey embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude.
A proud member of the Goldsboro Elk’s Lodge #139, Jeffrey valued fellowship, community service, and the friendships he cultivated through the organization. He treasured the bonds he shared with his fellow members and enjoyed being actively involved whenever he could.
Above all else, Jeffrey’s greatest treasure was the people he loved. He had a special way of making family and friends feel valued and appreciated. His signature farewell became a reflection of his heart and the way he lived his life. No conversation ended without him saying, “Be safe, I love you!” Those simple words carried a profound message of care and affection that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
A service to celebrate Jeffrey’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Jeffrey requested memorials be directed to Independent Order of Odd Fellows Neuse Lodge # 6, 113 N John Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530; Community Soup Kitchen, 112 W Oak Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530; Fanconi Cancer Foundation, 360 E. 10th Ave, Suite 201, Eugene, OR 97401; or to your local Children’s Home.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Jeffrey’s close friends, Debi Goulding and David and Rhonda Ward for their love, care, compassion, and friendship with Jeffrey over the years.
