May 24, 2026, 86, Fremont – Roberta “Birtie” Ferrell passed away on May 24th surrounded by the love of her family. Daughter to Daniel and Lucy Ferrell, Birtie was the youngest of six children.
Birtie was known for her warm heart, her love for people, and her gift for making everyone feel welcome. She was retired from AmeriCAL. She worked part-time at Capital Café in Fremont for 23 years, where she loved cooking and spending time with the many friends she made there. Around town, she was known as “the hot dog lady,” a name that brought smiles to so many who knew her.
At home, Birtie found joy in simple things—tending to her flowers, caring for the stray cats she loved so much, and spending time with the people she treasured most. She had a kind and caring spirit and was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont. The family will receive friends following the service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Gilda Gray, Mildred Wells and Josephine Davis, and her brother, Shorty Ferrell.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Stott and Sheryl Faulk (Joey); her granddaughters and grandson, Heather Stott (David), Mary Stott and Thomas Faulk (Jessica); her beloved great-grandchildren, Breanna Outlaw, Austin Outlaw, William Rocap, Paris Rocap, Kaylee Garner (Austin), Madi Bulla, Landen Faulk and Jenna Faulk; and her great-great-grandchildren, Grayson and Declan, and twin brother, Robert (Bob) Ferrell, all of whom brought her so much joy and were deeply loved by her.
Birtie will be remembered for her gentle heart, her laughter, her love for her family, and the way she made others feel cared for. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
