May 16, 2026, 85, Princeton – Charles Ray Woodard, 85, passed away Saturday at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born in Johnston County to the late Wilbert George and Flora Mae Daughtry Woodard and Mr. Woodard is the widow of the late Doris Mae Woodard. In addition to his wife, Mr. Woodard is preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley Woodard Tyndall and his brothers, Millard Woodard, James A. Woodard, Melvin Woodard, and Wilbert Lee Batten.
Mr. Woodard is a retired self-employed carpenter, and was a member of Lanwood Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 7:15pm Thursday, May 21, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations in Princeton. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 7:30pm with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
He is survived by a son, Charles Ray Woodard Jr of Princeton and grandsons, Thomas Cody Tyndall and Tristan Ray Tyndall.
