May 9, 2026, 14, Mount Olive – Miss Beancy Jackeline Rivas Flores, Mount Olive resident, passed away early Saturday morning, May 9, 2026, in a motor vehicle collision which occurred in Sampson County.
Beancy, 14, had attended Carver Elementary School and was currently a seventh grade student at Mount Olive Middle School. She loved Star Bucks coffee, enjoyed riding an all terrain vehicle at places like Busco Beach, and she enjoyed the companionship of her dog, Laika, and loved her very much.
She leaves behind her mother, Luz Elena Flores, of the home in Mount Olive; her father, Jose Oliverio Rivas Hernandez, of Dudley; her maternal grandparents, Gabino and Ana Guevera, both of Kenansville; her paternal grandmother, Maria Hernandez of New York; a brother, Kevin Flores, of Kenansville; three sisters, Daneyri Vasquez, Alexandra Ruiz Flores, and Josselin Rivas Flores, all of Mount Olive; two aunts, Sandra Flores of Seven Springs, and Yenis Flores of Maryland; several cousins; her friends and classmates.
A viewing and wake will be held at Tyndall Funeral Home on Friday, May 15, from 3 until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 16, at 3 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
