May 8, 2026, 79, Goldsboro – Beverly Moore Wallace, 79, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at UNC Rex Healthcare. Born in Wayne County on March 16, 1947, she was daughter to the late Ronald Moore and Louise Lancaster Moore.
Beverly’s greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family. Whether gathered around the table, sharing laughter, or cheering from the stands as her granddaughter played softball, those moments meant the world to her. She began many mornings with a peaceful walk, finding comfort in the beauty of the outdoors and the wonders of nature that she loved so dearly.
Known for her pleasant smile and kind spirit, Beverly had a way of making others feel welcomed and loved. She was a faithful and active member of Rosewood First Baptist Church, where she devoted much of her time serving and participating in church activities. She especially enjoyed playing bingo with her church family, creating friendships and memories that she treasured deeply. Beverly will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle presence, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Melissa Best and husband, Chad; her granddaughters, Laci Best and Shannon Hayes; her sister, Carolyn Jones; her sister-in-law, Barbara Moore; several nieces and nephews; and her granddog, Charlie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Gene Wallace; her daughter, Kimberly Cox; and her brother, Wesley Moore.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood First Baptist Church. A service to honor Beverly’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Vernon Braswell officiating. Interment will conclude at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
