Goldsboro, N.C. — The Goldsboro Police Department has announced the arrest of a Goldsboro man following an investigation conducted through the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
According to officials, the Goldsboro Police Department became a member of the NCSBI ICAC Task Force in March 2026. The partnership allows local investigators to work alongside state agents on cases involving the exploitation and victimization of children.
On May 11, members of the ICAC Task Force executed a search warrant in the 900 block of South Best Street. During the investigation, authorities said investigators discovered numerous files containing child pornographic images in the suspect’s possession.
As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Ryan Douglas Poole of Goldsboro was arrested without incident and transported to the Wayne County Detention Center.
Poole has been charged with 10 counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. He was given a $50,000 secured bond by a magistrate.
The Goldsboro Police Department and the SBI encourage anyone with information related to crimes involving the exploitation of children to contact law enforcement.
