GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Goldsboro man is facing multiple felony drug and firearm charges after a traffic stop Monday night led to the seizure of narcotics and a weapon, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.
Police said officers with Patrol C-Shift conducted a traffic stop around 10:29 p.m. on May 4 in the 500 block of Stronach Avenue for a Chapter 20 traffic violation.
During the investigation, officers reportedly discovered narcotics and a firearm inside the vehicle.
The driver, identified as Jerelle Ontario Hagens, 33, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in MDA/MDMA, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver MDA/MDMA, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed gun, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Hagens was booked into the Wayne County Jail under a $780,000 secured bond and is awaiting his first court appearance.
