May 1, 2026, 60, Goldsboro – Randy Lee Pipkin, 60, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 1, 2026.
Randy was born in Wayne County on April 13, 1966, to Linda Butler Petras of Goldsboro and the late Edgar Allen Pipkin. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Pete Petras; his maternal grandparents, Femmous and Vernell Butler; and his paternal grandparents, Ed and Vera Pipkin.
A graduate of Clinton High School, Randy dedicated many years of service as the Maintenance Director at Cherry Hospital. Randy found his greatest joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time outdoors, especially on the farm with his horses, where he felt most at peace. While he treasured those quiet moments, nothing meant more to him than time spent with his family. His grandchildren, in particular, brought him immense pride and happiness.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Linda Petras; his son, Cody Pipkin and wife, Cristan; and his beloved grandchildren, Jaxon, Colt, and Sage Pipkin. He is also survived by his niece, Brandi Pipkin Adam and husband, John, along with their children, Henry, Oliver, Elliott, and Ellie; his uncle and aunts, Steve and Janice Butler and Barbara Butler; and his cousins, Cecil Pipkin and Dan Pipkin and their families.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Randy’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Interment will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.
