MT. OLIVE, NC – North Carolina Pickle Festival celebrated a milestone weekend as crowds filled the streets of Mount Olive for its 40th annual celebration, bringing with them an appetite for fun, food, and all things pickled.
From live music echoing through downtown to the unmistakable aroma of festival food lining the streets, the event delivered a full day of entertainment and community spirit. Families, visitors, and pickle enthusiasts alike turned out in force, making it one of the most vibrant turnouts in recent years.
A highlight of the day was the crowning of the 2026 NC Pickle Festival Ambassadors, recognizing participants across a wide range of age groups and categories. Organizers expressed pride in the newly crowned representatives, who will serve as ambassadors for the festival throughout the year.

Adding to the excitement, Joey claimed bragging rights in the fan-favorite pickle eating contest, downing 11 pickles to take home the top prize.
