March 30, 2026, 68, Goldsboro – Ricky Lee Toler, 68, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026. Born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, on October 10, 1957, he was son to the late John Toler and Etta McBride Toler.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Donna Toler; his step-children, Casey Elrod and wife, Season and Nathan Oakes and his fiancée, Kayla Steele; his brother, Robert Toler; his step-sister, Debra Oakes; his nephews, Josh Toler and Brandon Toler; his great-nephews, Tyler Watson and Brayden Toler; his mother-in-law, Melva Ipock; and his step-grandchildren, Luke, Elliott, Johnathan, Marley, Kendall, Brooklyn and Chase.
In addition to his parents, Ricky is preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Toler Carter; his step-dad, Roy Brown; his aunt, Libby Hawker; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Rebecca McBride; and his fraternal grandparents, Earnest and Betty Toler.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at The Bridge Church – Goldsboro, 1065 N Berkeley Blvd, Goldsboro, NC 27534. A service to honor Ricky’s life will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Ryan Barbato officiating the service. A service will be held at his home church, Timberlake Baptist Church, 356 Lindhurst Dr., Danville, VA 24540, on Friday April 17th, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. with a visitation following the service. A private inurnment will conclude at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
