GOLDSBORO, N.C. — NC Freedom Fest is set to return to downtown Goldsboro this fall, bringing a full day of patriotism, entertainment, and community pride while honoring military members, veterans, and first responders.
The free, family-friendly event will take place Saturday, September 12, 2026, with activities beginning at noon in Downtown Goldsboro. Organizers say this year’s celebration will be especially meaningful as the nation marks the 250th anniversary of the United States and reflects on the 25th remembrance of the September 11 attacks.
The daytime street fair will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., featuring local vendors, a car and bike show, and free activities designed for all ages. Organizers say the event offers a welcoming environment for families and community members to show support for those who serve, particularly first responders.
At 5 p.m., the celebration shifts to Freedom Field for an evening program focused on honoring service and sacrifice. The program will include military awards, an art contest showcase, and the anticipated F-15 flyover.
Headlining the evening concert is award-winning country artist Ashley McBryde. Known for her powerful vocals and authentic storytelling, McBryde has earned multiple Grammy Awards, Country Music Association Awards, and Academy of Country Music Awards honors. Her breakout album, Girl Going Nowhere, helped establish her as one of country music’s most respected voices.
“America’s 250th anniversary, the 25th remembrance of 9/11, and current events in the Middle East have inspired us to create an ‘Epic’ NC Freedom Fest this year,” said Doug McGrath, NC Freedom Fest President. “And with Ashley McBryde, we will deliver.”
Organizers encourage attendees to follow event updates on social media and visit the festival website for additional details.
