March 14, 2026, 85, Fremont – Jimmy Ray Dail, 85, of Fremont passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026 at his home.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley with military honors.
Mr. Dail was born in Duplin County on September 23, 1940 to the late Robert and Bertha Lanier Dail. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Dail and wife, Nikki and Christopher Dail; his daughter, Tiffany Dail; his daughter-in-law, Carrie Dail; his sister, Ann Lee English of Chinquapin and three grandchildren, Oriana Rose Dail, Travis Holland and Tristan Dail.
Mr. Dail was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ann Dail and his sons, Roger Dail and James Robert Dail.
The family is in the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 North Pine Street in Fremont.
