February 19, 2026, 77, Princeton – Debra Ann Rigdon Hardee, 77, of Princeton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2026 while at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. She was born January 9, 1949 to the late Russell Ethan Rigdon and Georgie Marguerite Green Rigdon.
Debra shared her life with the love of her life, W. A. Hardee. They were married for 58 years. She loved her family dearly, but her grandchildren were the apple of her life. Debra loved her work at Kitty Askins and the staff were like her family. Cooking and preparing meals for her family was a highlight in her life. She was the go-to person for getting advice for everyone – family and friends alike. Most of all, her love for Jesus Christ was her foundation.
Debra is survived by her husband, W. A. Hardee; daughter, Renee Jordan (Jimmy); granddaughters, Hannah Kornegay (Patrick) and Kathryn Jordan; grandson, Jarrett Jordan; great grandchildren, Annaleigh, Emerson and Jackson; sister, Sheree Mumblow (Bob).
The funeral service will be on Saturday, February 21, 2026 in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations at 3:00 pm with the Reverend Dave Varnell officiating. The committal will be immediately after the service in Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Ct., Goldsboro, NC 27534.
