February 10, 2026, 68, Goldsboro – Terri Pennington Huffman, 68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Terri’s beautiful smile reflected the compassion in her heart and the care she showed so freely to everyone around her.
Terri was born on September 22, 1957, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, to the late Milford Earl Pennington and Betty McLawhon Pennington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil Perry Huffman, Jr.; her brother, Benny Mack Pennington; and her brother-in-law, Charles Russell Corbitt.
A graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School, Terri devoted her life to her family and to living out her Christian faith. Terri leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Celia H. Solarez and husband Daniel, Cecil Perry Huffman III, Christen H. Honeycutt and husband Chad, and Taylor Lee Huffman; and her precious grandchildren, William Robert Solarez and Matthew Perry Solarez who affectionately called her Deedop, along with Aubrie Grace Honeycutt, and Tucker Douglas Honeycutt, who affectionately called her Dot Dot. She is also survived by her siblings, Kimberly Pennington Corbitt, Rex A. Pennington and wife Janet, and Penny Jo Pennington Howell and husband Johnnie, along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
