February 7, 2026, 67, Goldsboro – Patricia Elaine Corey, age 67, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Wayne/ UNC Healthcare. Born in Sampson County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Philmore Hurley and Annie Ruth Norris Hurley. She was also the wife of the late Harvey Allen Corey. A graduate of Kansas State University, she was a retired registered nurse. Being the oldest of her siblings, they and many others lovingly called her “Sissy” or “the mom”. She was a great mom to her children as well as being the neighborhood mom (“Mama Pat”) to her children’s friends.
She is survived by her sons, Chris Faircloth (Miranda) and Bradford Faircloth (Alice); her daughter, Angie Rose; her significant other, Stuart Dickson; her sisters, Janice Allen and Kathi Shinn; grandchildren, Morgan, Phoebe, Devon, Jordan, Desiegha, Alanna, Christopher, Zophia, Hannah, Daniella, Kaylie, Marrisa, Christina and Jim, Jr.; great grandchildren, Myles and Madilyn.
Along with her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers, James “Bud” Hurley, Donald Hurley and Darrell Uribe.
At her request, no formal services will be held.
