GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A 28-year-old man is in critical condition following a shooting Monday afternoon in Goldsboro.
According to the Goldsboro Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 2:46 p.m. on Feb. 2, 2026, in the 400 block of East New Hope Road.
Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and transported the victim to UNC Health Wayne. Due to the severity of his injuries, the victim was later airlifted to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, where he remains listed in critical condition.
The victim has been identified as Demartquise Ti’Quez Swinson, 28 of LaGrange.
The Goldsboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and are actively investigating the incident. No additional details have been released at this time.
