MOUNT OLIVE — The University of Mount Olive Athletics Department has announced several schedule changes affecting multiple sports programs for the upcoming weekend.
Men’s wrestling will not compete in the Newberry Open, which was scheduled for Feb. 1.
UMO has also postponed its men’s and women’s tennis matches against Campbell that were originally set for this weekend. The women’s team will now host Campbell on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m., while the men’s team will face the Camels at home on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 2:30 p.m.
In basketball, the men’s and women’s games originally scheduled to be played in Young Harris, Georgia, against the Mountain Lions have been rescheduled. Both contests will now take place on Monday, Feb. 23, with tip-off times set for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
Men’s volleyball has canceled its match against UMES that was scheduled for Saturday. The Trojans have also adjusted the start time for their match against George Mason on Friday, moving it from 6 p.m. to 3 p.m.
