Wayne County, N.C. — Wayne Preparatory Academy senior Isaiah Thomas reached a historic milestone on Tuesday, Jan. 6, by scoring his 2,000th career point during a matchup against the Community Christian Cyclones, cementing his place as one of the school’s all-time greats.
A four-year cornerstone of the Generals basketball program, Thomas has been putting up phenomenal numbers this season, averaging 30 points per game overall and an impressive 35 points per game over the past month while shooting 56% from the field. Beyond scoring, Thomas leads the team in rebounds (8.2 per game), assists (3.3 per game), and steals (3.3 per game), demonstrating his all-around impact on the court.
Isaiah’s success isn’t limited to basketball. He maintains a strong 3.6 GPA and has earned numerous honors throughout his high school career, including:
