GOLDSBORO, NC – Goldsboro police have identified and charged a juvenile suspect in connection with a shooting that injured three people at the Tanglewood Mobile Home Park.
The incident occurred on December 29, 2025, at approximately 6:14 p.m., when officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 3200 block of Central Heights Road. Upon arrival, officers found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services transported that individual to UNC Health Wayne.
Police said a second gunshot wound victim fled the scene toward TJ Maxx on North Berkeley Boulevard, where he sought help. That victim was also transported to UNC Health Wayne by EMS. A third victim later arrived at the hospital by personal vehicle.
One of the victims was later airlifted to ECU Health in Greenville and remains in serious condition.
The victims have been identified as Eddie Hernandez-Gonzalez, 21, of Dudley; Luis Hernandez, 23, of Dudley; and Jaylan Robbins, 23, of Goldsboro.
During the course of the investigation, detectives identified a juvenile suspect from Goldsboro. The juvenile has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
The suspect was arrested without incident on December 30 and transported to a juvenile detention facility. Due to the suspect’s age, the individual’s name is not being released.
The Goldsboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit continue to investigate the case. Officials say the investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are expected. More information will be released as it becomes available.
