December 21, 2025, 79, Goldsboro – Emma Jean Abrams, 79, of Goldsboro, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Goldsboro Assisted Living.
Emma Jean was born in Edgecombe County on February 19, 1946. Emma Jean was a graduate of Atlantic Christian College, which is now Barton College. In her former years, Emma Jean was a sitter with Elsie Lassiter Sitting Agency, which suited her, she was very compassionate and was great at helping others in their time of need.
Of eight children, Emma Jean is survived by her siblings, Donald Abrams (Loretta) of Oxford, Billy Abrams (Becky) of Durham and Carl Abrams (Linda) of Greenville, South Carolina and many loving and caring nieces and nephews.
She is reunited with her parents, Glenn and Edna Abrams, her sister, Phyllis Burgess, brother, Bobby Abrams and his wife, Janice and sisters, Pat Clark and Sue Stalls.
A private family service will be held.
The Abrams family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Goldsboro Assisted Living for all their compassion and love for Emma Jean while she was in their care.
