Eastern Wayne and Wayne Country Day advance to title game after decisive Day 2 victories
PIKEVILLE, NC — Day 2 of the 2025 Greater Neuse FCA Winter Classic is officially in the books, and the championship matchup is now set following a full slate of men’s tournament action at C.B. Aycock High School.
North Duplin opened the day with a hard-fought 46–41 win over Southern Wayne, pulling away late to secure the victory. James Kenan followed with a dominant performance, rolling past Spring Creek 77–42 behind a balanced offensive effort.
Wayne Country Day continued its strong tournament run with a convincing 74–47 win over Princeton, while Eastern Wayne closed out the night by defeating Wayne Prep 70–47 to punch its ticket to the championship game.
With two days complete, attention now turns to the final day of competition, where placement games and the tournament title will be decided.
