January 28, 2026, 60, Elizabethtown – Phillip Gregory Jones, 60, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Selma, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in Wilmington. He was born on September 24, 1965, to the late James Hyman Jones and Dixie Lee Shallington Jones Pierce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Otha Lee Jones, sisters Sheila Hill and Beatrice Edgeley, and brother-in-law, Danny Watkins.
He is survived by his son; Phillip Cameron Jones, daughters; Cynthia Jones and Candace Jones, brother; James Jones (Margaret), sisters; Jo Ann Watkins, Diane Pierce (Golden), Cathy Stanley (Tony), stepsisters; Patsy Autry (Roy) and Pam Lewis (Donnie), brothers-in-law; Alton Hill and James Edgeley, grandchildren; Braylyn Jones and Brayson Prince as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall at Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church, 112 E. Blanche St., Pine Level, NC 27568.
An interment service for the family that wishes to attend will be held on Monday, April 13th at 2:00 pm at Eastern Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC 27535.
