GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Communities Supporting Schools of Wayne County celebrated a major milestone with a ribbon cutting ceremony for its brand-new space inside the historic Acme Theatre in downtown Goldsboro.
The organization, which has served Wayne County since 1993, continues to expand its mission of uplifting students, strengthening families, and creating opportunities for success throughout the community. Leaders say the new location at 111 S. Center Street represents more than just a move — it reflects a continued commitment to ensuring every child has the support and resources needed to thrive.
Communities Supporting Schools currently has a staff of 18 serving students across 10 schools in Wayne County. The organization also manages two Restorative Justice programs and offers a Cultural Arts program designed to enrich student experiences and foster growth beyond the classroom.
“This moment represents more than just a new space,” organizers shared during the ribbon cutting celebration. “It’s a continued commitment to our students, families, and community as we work together to create opportunities for success across Wayne County.”
The ribbon cutting also highlighted the collaboration and community spirit that continues to drive growth in Wayne County. The Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce was recognized for hosting another successful dual ribbon cutting event with the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, celebrating local organizations and businesses working to make a positive impact.
