GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is inviting job seekers to explore careers in public safety during an upcoming hiring event at Neuse Correctional Institution.
The event will take place Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the facility located at 701 Stevens Mill Road in Goldsboro. Officials say both full-time and part-time Correctional Officer positions are available, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus offered to eligible candidates hired into full-time roles.
Representatives from the Department of Adult Correction will be on-site to assist candidates with the application process. Applicants can apply online or in person and are encouraged to come prepared for an interview.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for a Correctional Officer position, applicants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (3+ years)
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid driver’s license
