Wayne County, NC — Firefighters from Arrington responded Saturday afternoon to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Bill Lane Boulevard and Arrington Bridge Road.
According to officials, a white vehicle and a silver vehicle collided at the intersection, causing heavy damage to both vehicles. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and worked to assess the situation while ensuring the safety of those involved.
Due to the position of the damaged vehicles, lanes in both directions were blocked for a period of time. Firefighters directed traffic around the scene as crews worked to clear the roadway and restore normal traffic flow.
Despite the significant damage to both vehicles, officials reported that no injuries resulted from the crash.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident to determine the cause.
Motorists traveling through the area experienced minor delays while emergency crews worked at the scene.
